Baby Brently Camden Lee

Saturday night I was waiting and waiting to see if this baby boy was going to come into the world. Finally, at 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning, Brently Camden Lee arrived at a whopping 5 lbs 13 oz and eighteen inches long. He was here. We could finally sleep. After waking up later that morning, my mother-in-law (who makes a WONDERFUL assistant) and I got ready to go up to the  hospital to meet this new bundle of joy.

We arrived at the hospital around 2:30 p.m. and this sweet little prince was wide awake and taking in all the world around him. Mother exhausted, yet perky and excited, room full of relatives, and a cart full of props and my camera, I held this little, tiny, pink, wide-eyed angel and envisioned how wonderful it was going to be to photograph him.

Little did I know, baby Brently was born with enough energy for two babies. He did not want to sleep. He was soaking in every face that held him, every touch that brushed him, every sound that filled the room. He wanted to stretch his little legs, keep his little hands pressed tightly to his chest and not miss a thing. He was so sweet and good and curious and alert. It was wonderful. Tiff, you will make a wonderful mother for this little boy. Together, you and he will have the best adventures and make the greatest memories as he grows into a beautiful little boy.

Here is Brently only 13 hours old…
